Three weeks into school and we still love it!
Last weekend was super exciting for us! Mommy and Daddy went to Chicago for a trip. While they were gone, Angie came to take care of us. She picked us up from the bus and brought us home. Saturday morning, Grandma & Grandpa were at our house! They took us to the big playground to play and they took us to the library on Saturday. Sunday, they took us to Sunday School and we did a scavenger hunt! Noah was especially proud of himself because he went back behind the stage EVEN when Ryan told him not to, and he found a missing clue. I was really proud when I found a missing clue that all the other kids missed - EVEN Grandma missed it. It was up high but I saw it before anyone else. After Sunday School, they took us to the VFW for lunch.
Mommy & Daddy came home just in time to take us & Angie to Subway for supper. They had fun on their trip, and we had fun with Angie, Grandpa & Grandma.
Wednesday was our last week of karate. Daddy was a little mad at Noah. He didn't want to go to karate, but after class he was excited about it and wanted to go back! We have gymnastics class for the next 2 months, so we'll be done with karate for a little while now. I'm really excited for gymnastics class!
Thursday night was a really busy night. I started my first night of dance. I LOVE dance!! I went to my class and started learning the dance, then when I was done, Daddy talked to the teacher and decided that I should be in the 2nd class, not the beginner class. So, I got to stay and dance for another half hour class. All my dancemates were in that class - Abbey, Ava, Alexis and a lot of other girls who danced with me last year. We're going to dance to 101 dalmations. It's going to be so awesome!
We went home and Daddy left right away for volleyball and Megan came to babysit us. We LOVE Megan. After Daddy left, Sue came to see us. She brought Track to see us, too AND she brought us Dairy Queen. We love Sue! We missed her so much, so it was great to give her a big hug!
Yesterday was a really busy day for us! After lunch, Noah & Daddy played football in the frontyard while I got dressed for a birthday party.
They were playing football while they waited for our friend Grayson picked up Noah for a playdate at the Works Museum at 1 o'clock. Shortly after that, Mommy brought me to a birthday party for my new classmate Cassandra. All the girls in my class were invited, so there were a lot of new friends there that I got to know better. It was so awesome! It was a rainbow theme party, so we got rainbow favors, butterfly tattoos, rainbow cake, painted rainbows on our faces and colored rainbow pictures.
Noah & Mommy picked me up and Noah told me some of the fun things he and Noah did at the museum before they had McDonald's ice cream cones and came to get me. When we got home, we changed to warmer clothes and left for a party with Daddy's volleyball team.
The party with Daddy's team was fun, too! We carved pumpkins, played football, played on a tire swing, had yummy food, had a war with Nerf guns, watched a movie and played hard! We didn't leave until 10:30, so we fell asleep on the way home. We were so tired!
Mommy turned our alarm clocks off, so we slept in until 8 o'clock. Then we got ready for Sunday School. We're getting really good at saying the Lord's Prayer.
After church, we went home and had spaghetti noodles for lunch. We were excited to pick up Grayson & bring him to see Madagascar 3 in the movie theater. We picked up Grayson & got to the movie theater right when the movie started. We had popcorn & lemonade and LOTS of laughs! It was an awesome movie! After the movie, Grayson came to play for a little while before we brought him home.
What a fun weekend! This week, we have picture day at school, and no school on Friday. Next weekend, Daddy said we're going to the cabin for the weekend, so we're looking forward to that!
Have a great week!

We're OFFICALLY Kindergarteners now.
We've been in school every day, all day for over a week now! There are some challenges, but overall we LOVE IT!
My teacher is Ms Wold. I love her - she's awesome. I have 21 other kids in my class. Hannah is right next door to me with Ms. Leismaki. We can sometimes see each other during class because our classrooms are connected and the wall isn't closed all the way between our classrooms.
We have Spanish every day, so we're learning Espaniol. We alternate between music, art & gym class every day and have technology on Mondays in the computer lab. We're learning a lot every day.
We get on the bus at 8:14 every day. It's a challenge to get out of the house at 8 o'clock like Mom & Dad like to do, but so far, we've done it every day! We're used to taking our time to get to daycare because Sue didn't care when we got there. We've had a couple of rough mornings but we've had some good days, too.
The weekend before school, we went to the lake cabin for what may be our last cabin visit this year. Our whole family was there, so we got to play with our cousins, see aunts, Grandma & Grandpa, play in the dirt, fish & swim. The weather was kind of icky on the day we left, so Mommy painted our faces and we made suncatchers. I made a planet with glow in the dark stars and Hannah made a butterfly.
We did come home a day early so we could go to Ron & Carol's for a party the day before school. We got to see lots of friends and play outside on a really nice day. but, we had to leave kind of early so we could get ready for school the next day.
The whole week before school started was a busy one, too!
The Friday before school, we had eye doctor appointments. We were really good for the doctor and her assistant. We didn't need to get glasses but we did get stickers because we were soo good.
The Wednesday before school was our Open House at Beacon! It was so busy!! WE went to our classrooms to drop off our school supplies (so we didn't have to bring all our supplies on the first day.) and meet our teachers and see our classrooms. We went to mine first, then Hannah's. We each had to do a checklist that helped us get used to our new classroom and write our names down so other kids could see who we are.
We also met some of our other teachers. Mr Reed, the technology teacher was my favorite because he had Lego Robots! We won't get to play with them, though because they're for older kids. He runs a technology club that gets to build Lego Robots. They're SOO COOL! We also met our art teacher, Mr. Kehrer, our music teacher Ms. Scott and our Spanish teacher, Senora Hann. She had lots of books I know, but they were in Spanish. I'm looking forward to learning to read the Hungry Caterpillar and The Giving Tree in Spanish.
The Tuesday before school was our trip to the State Fair. Angie came the night before the fair so she could go with us too. We LOVE the State Fair. We always start out looking at the baby animal barn, then go to the other barns. We spent a lot of time at the Moo booth, though, so we didn't have time to go to chicken, pig, horse or any other barns. But, we got to pet a baby calf, saw them milk cows and spun the moo-lette wheel. We both also got to be in the butter carving contest! It was NOT what I expected. I carved a picture of a smily face in the side of my butter, but other people actually carved their butter into SHAPES! Mommy helped me make my butter into Lightning McQueen and I won 4th place. Mommy helped Hannah make a car out of her butter, and she got 6th place.
We got to ride the Space Needle and go REALLY high to see all around the state fairgrounds. We wanted to go on the Skyride but never got to go on it. We also rode a bunch of rides at the kidway - we flew like superman, drove a racecar, did a funhouse maze and of COURSE we did the slide! We also played basketball, plinko, hockey and lacrosse at the Fan Central, met some RollerGirls (Mommy works with a RollerGirl). We ate LOTS of yummy food - cheese curds, ice cream, a slushy, elephant ear, lemonade. We wanted to go the Rope Course with some Boy Scouts but we weren't QUITE tall enough. They did have a rope bridge that we got to do. It was SO COOL, even though it was kinda scarey.
Our favorite part is always the little farmhands. we checked out an old tractor, fed chickens, drove tractors, planted "seeds", gathered eggs & vegetables, milked a cow (we'd been looking most forward to that all day!) and then got "paid" for all our work on the farm. We bought apples with our "pay". We love apples, so it was worth all the hard work. :-)
The Monday before we went to the fair was the start of our last week at daycare. We had a BIG beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to Sue. She loved them.
Daddy is bummed now that school has started because he says summer is over. We've still been really busy even though school has started.
We're still doing karate on Wednesdays, though we will take a break from that to try gymnastics soon. I only like sparring, so I'm happy to take a break from karate class.
This last weekend, Sunday school started! The Friday before Sunday School, our church had a party so we got to see a lot of our Sunday School Friends again. It was fun to see them, but it was also fun to go to the church party. They had a bouncy house, food, a magician, fish pond and a pirate booty prize game.
The next day, we went to an open house at the fire station. We got to check out the Air Ambulance that flies patients to the hospital. We even got to sit in the pilots seat AND in the back! It was really cool. They had lots of fun stuff there - hoses, fire extinguisher demonstrations, a bouncy house with a SLIDE, the trucks, companion dogs and other things. We couldn't stay long, though because we had to go to the Diva Stud Party! We left right after the helicopter took off and flew away. That was cool!
The Diva Stud Party was awesome! There were more kids than adults, so it was a blast for us! (And, of course, there was lot of yummy FOOD, too!)Mommy & Daddy played volleyball, we got to play on the court, too. We also got to stay for the bonfire and do s'mores. It was such a fun night!
The next day was the first day of Sunday School. We found out that TJ & Penney won't be our teachers, so we're bummed. But, Mommy & Daddy ARE going to be our teachers!
It's been a really busy and fun few weeks. This weekend I'm looking forward to Angie coming! Mommy &Daddy are going on a trip because they've been married for 10 years and Angie is going to come to our house and watch us. I'm going to do WORD PUZZLES with her on Saturday. I can hardly wait! it's going to be so great.
Have a good week!

Weekends at Lake Cabins
It's been a busy couple of weeks for us.
Two weeks ago was tie die day at Sue's house! I even got to tie-dye pants. This year, I made purple pants to go with my starburst shirt with purple on it! Noah made his red white & blue.
Last Thursday, we had another playdate at the park with some of our new Beacon classmates. It was a nice night, so there were a lot of kids there. And, since we know who our teachers will be, we could meet some of the kids who will be in our classes with us.
Friday morning, we woke up early because we knew Grandpa & Grandma would be at our place. Grandpa brought the scissor lift up to help daddy cut down trees. We didn't get to help him raise the scissor lift in the air because he & daddy were using a chainsaw. But, we did get to go to Thomas Tool with grandpa. We love going to that store with him! We hung out with Grandma while Daddy & Grandpa worked on the trees. When the trees were trimmed, Grandpa put the scissor lift on the trailer, loaded us in his truck and we went up to the lake cabin (Mom & Dad had a volleyball tournament on Saturday, so we got to go with Grandma & Grandpa to the lake without Mommy & Daddy!)
When we got to the cabin, Grandpa took the scissor lift of the trailer and let us (along with Lauren & Ben) play on the scissor lift for a while. We even got to stay up and have a movie night on Friday night. We watched the Lorax & ate popcorn.
Saturday Jimmy & Cathy came to visit. It was fun to see them, but I didn't feel too good. My head hurt and I was really COLD, even though Angie said my temperature was really hot. I didn't feel like doing much of anything, so I stayed home with Angie while Noah went shopping with Grandpa & Grandma.
Sunday, I felt better. We went fishing in the morning. I even felt good enough to swim a little while in the afternoon after it warmed up a little bit. We packed up our stuff and went home with Angie. We've been waiting to go to Angie's house for a long time, so we were happy to get to play at her place while we waited for Mommy to pick us up. Mommy came shortly after we got to Angie's and took us all out for supper at the Pizza Ranch! After the Pizza Ranch, we drove home to see Daddy. It was really good to see Mommy & Daddy, even though we had so much fun with Grandpa Mark, Grandma Diane, Angie & the Dehnes.
Monday morning, Sue showed us our tie-dye shirts. They turned out really great! So did my pants. I'm so excited to wear them! We usually wear them to the state fair. That's coming up really soon!
Friday afternoon, Daddy picked us up early from Sue's house and brought us to Ron & Carol's so he could play volleyball. There weren't really any other kids there, but we still have fun playing. There were hot dogs & lots of snacks, so we never got hungry or bored.
Saturday morning, we got up and went to Reid's cabin. We've been looking forward to this all summer. It rained on our way up there, then rained when we got there, so we thought we might not get to have fun on the lake. Noah found a Rubik's cube and we played with it for a while, trying to get all the colored squares to line up on one side. Luckily, after lunch, the weather cleared up enough for us to swim. It was a little chilly but we were still excited to be in the water. Reid got out a HUGE 3-person tube that we got to ride with our friends Juanita & Trevor. It was awesome!
After I got splashed, I decided to get off. But, Noah stayed out tubing a lot longer with Juanita, Trevor & Mommy (even when it rained on them!) before they came inside to play.
After supper, we got to go on a 4-wheeler ride through a 4-wheeler trail through the woods. It was pretty awesome! It was such a busy day, though, that we fell asleep on the way home! I even slept in until almost 9 o'clock, even though Noah tried to wake me at 7 o'clock.
Today, we got to go to Ron & Carol's to play volleyball. We met a girl there who is going to be in the 11th grade next Tuesday when we start kindergarten! She was there with Max, the baby. I think she's Max's sister. I really love babies. I played ball with Max for a while, and that was so fun. Noah got to play with Buddy - a new baby puppy that someone brought.
We're looking forward to the fair this week! Angie's going to come with us to the fair, so we can't WAIT! Have a good week!

A chill in the air
Brr! The past 2 weekends have been chilly!
Last weekend we went to the lake and it was kind of cold. We went swimming for a little while on Saturday, but the wind was so cold, we only swam for 30 minutes. The water was warm, but the wind was so strong and cold we decided to go back to the house and play inside with our cousins. We all pretended we were a family of giraffes, and Mommy painted our faces like giraffes. (Except me - I wanted my face painted like IronMan!)
Sunday, we went out fishing for a while. Daddy had gone the night before and caught some big fish, but we didn't have as much luck. We did have fun, though, fishing with Mommy & Daddy.
Monday, we had testing at Beacon for placement in our kindergarten class. We're so excited to start school! We went shopping for a few last school supplies, then went to Beacon. We got there a little early, so we walked around the church. (Beacon shares space with a big church.) There was a lot of playground space, though they didn't have any playground equipment.
We went inside and met our teachers. They took us back to a room separate from Mommy with one other girl. We each met with both teachers to show them how good we are at letter recognition, sound recognition, counting and number recognition. Mommy had to fill out some forms while we were meeting with our teachers. We did a really good job on our tests are ready to start school.
When we got out of the testing, we both knew who we wanted to be our kindergarten teacher! I want Ms. Wold and Hannah wants Ms. Leismacki.
After we had lunch, Mommy took us to the pool. We had so much fun at the pool! Hannah was learning to float on her back and getting her face wet. Mommy wanted me to get my face wet but I am not ready to get my face wet and swim more. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay long, because Mommy had to go to registration and get us all registered for Beacon Academy in 4 weeks! Daddy fed us and took us to Ron & Carol's - we played in the yard while Mommy & Daddy played volleyball. Lars & Juanita even brought Dylan!
Tuesday was National Night out, so we went to our neighborhood party down the block. I got to turn on the lights in the police car, and Hannah played with Brooke and some other girls. We had fun playing with other neighbors, eating yummy food and even got to bring some balloons home with us!
Wednesday, I really didn't want to go to Karate. I think Ms. Laura doesn't like me. When I try to do the right thing, she tells me to take a break anyway. But, Mommy made me go to karate anyway. We were in a smaller, carpeted room with windows. One kid was being really naughty, but I tried really hard to concentrate on making my body match Ms. Laura's. I did a really good job until she split us up in groups for the games. But, I played the game with my group and my mommy said that I could have a gumball because I did such a good job paying attention before the game! Yay! It was a really good night.
Thursday, Mommy got an email from school. She got our class lists in her email! I got Ms. Wold for my teacher and Hannah got Ms. Leismacki! I also have another Hannah in my class - but not my sister. We're both so excited for school!
We were excited to go to Grandma's on Friday after daycare! Mommy picked us up and brought us home. We packed up the car and headed toward Grandma & Grandpa's house. Mommy and Daddy said we could stop and eat at Subway or Burger King partway out there, but we said we wanted to wait for the Pizza Ranch when we were almost to Grandma's. We LOVE the pizza ranch! We got there after their buffet was done, so Daddy ordered one pizza for our whole family. We had to eat fast because we got there right before they closed, but daddy bought us a delicious pizza and our favorite - cactus bread! It was so yummy! We filled our tummy and were very excited to get to grandma & grandpa's house.
Saturday, we got up and played for a while before Grandpa asked us if we wanted to dig with his backhoe digger. I got to go first. It was pretty cool! I dug BIG holes out of grandpa & grandma's garden. When it was Hannah's turn, I went and got the pedal tractor and started riding it around the yard and brought it down to the garden where we dug the big hole. Grandpa started to dig in the ground under his potato plants and found potatoes! It was so cool to help him harvest the potatoes! He dug them up and we picked them out of the dirt and put them in the pedal tractor's trailer. When we had dug them all up, we brought them to the house and washed all the potatoes with the hose. When Hannah started to help wash potatoes, I decided I should I would wash the sidewalk off, too.
After dinner, we got ready for mommy's cousin's wedding. It was a long drive through the rain, so we got to watch a movie.
After the wedding, we drove to a hotel where they had a dancefloor, tables and a table with candy and snacks to eat while we waited for the dinner to start. It was a long wait to get our food, but it was delicious and I cleaned my plate! I was so anxious to start dancing on the hardwood floor, but I had to wait for some people to talk, then for the bride & groom to dance and do a bunch of dances. Mommy helped Hannah and I change into our pajamas while we waited for the boring stuff to be over so we could dance!
We fell asleep on the way home. It was kind of cold out, but Mommy got us each a blanket to fall asleep under.
This morning, we got up and played Spiderman & Spidergirl before dinner. After dinner, great Grandma Marita came by to say hello before we made the long drive home. We watched Scooby Doo again! That movie is SOO FUNNY! We've watched it about 4 times this weekend with all the driving we've done!
It has been a very long, exhausting weekend. We had a lot of fun, but are looking forward to playing with our friends again this week at Sue's. Mommy & Daddy say we only have 3 more weeks with Sue, then school starts!
Have a good week!

Hannah digging with the backhoe |

It has been a very long, exhausting weekend. We had a lot of fun, but are looking forward to playing with our friends again this week at Sue's. Mommy & Daddy say we only have 3 more weeks with Sue, then school starts!
Have a good week!

What a week we've had! Lots of volleyball, and time with cousins, too.
Monday night, we got to go with Daddy when he played volleyball, and we got to stay until 9 o'clock! It was a fun night.
Tuesday night, Mommy didn't come home. Daddy said she had a volleyball tournament for work, so we got to choose WHATEVER WE WANTED to eat for supper! Daddy said he'd make mostaciolli (our favorite!), mac & cheese, buy pizza - whatever we wanted. We chose Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches. I ate 2. Hannah had 1. They were delish! Mommy came home late from her tournament, but she was happy because her team won the tournament!
Wednesday, we had soo bahk do. I didn't want to go, but Mommy said we could have some dinosaur puzzles that she printed for us at work, and if we were really good, she had quarters for gumballs! We both tried really hard to be good (even though there was a naughty 3 year old who was running all over and yelling). But, Mommy said we were both good enough for gumballs! I got an orange one and Hannah got a pink one. It's been a while since we've gotten gumballs, so it was a good day!
Friday, Sue was closed so we played quietly in the morning while Daddy worked. Then, we went to Ron & Carol's sandbox for hooky day. A guy was building a path to the food shed, so the food was out near the fire ring. I loved watching him work on making the brick pathway. He didn't get a lot of work done since he only worked when he wasn't playing volleyball. We had fun, even though we were the only kids there. We were excited to see Mommy - she had to go to a big meeting for work, so she was late.
Saturday morning, we woke up to rain. Mommy asked us if we wanted to go to the lake, so we got in the car and drove to the cabin. Daddy stayed home with Cheyenne, so we missed him. But, Mommy said he was going to work on cleaning while we were gone.
We met Grandma, Grandpa, Angie, Dani, Jason, Lauren & Ben at Menards, then drove out to the cabin. It was a nice, sunny day at the lake. After dinner, we were ready to swim! We swam all afternoon - we tubed, rode the jet ski, relaxed on floaties, and played with fun noodles. It was awesome! When I got tired, I went to the cabin and found some "find-a-word" puzzle books that Great Grandma used to do. I found a few words in the books. I like find-a-word puzzles.

After supper, Grandpa started the fire. We had some delicious s'mores before Mommy made us go to bed.
We were so tired! We fell asleep fast.
This morning, we got up and had a big, delicious breakfast and played with our cousins. Mommy painted everyone's faces but mine. Lauren was a butterfly, Hannah was a puppy and Ben was a tiger. I chose to be a superhero with my superhero mask instead of facepaint.
Grandpa & Jason took us fishing for a short time, but we ran out of bait so we went back to the house to play hide & seek.
For dinner, we had chicken, corn & strawberries. What a delicious meal! We wanted to go swimming after dinner, so Mommy said we could swim for a few minutes while she did dishes. It was sunny & warm, so it was perfect day to swim. Too bad we had to leave, so we didn't get much swim time.
We were very good when Mommy said it was time to go, though. We got dressed quickly, went up to the house and got ready to go. Mommy said if we got home in time, we could meet Daddy's cousins at a restaurant for supper.
After a long drive with lots of traffic, we got home, picked up daddy and went to eat. We were hungry, but once we got food in us, we were happy to play with Daddy's cousins' kids while he talked to his aunts, uncles, and 3 of his cousins. After we had a cheese sandwich, we walked to an ice cream store! I had a mango ice cream cone - it was so delicious! Hannah had a cotton candy ice cream cone while we hung out with cousins.
By the time we got home, we were SO TIRED! I was so excited that I could hardly sit still; but when the lights went out in our bedroom, I fell asleep fast. What a fun weekend!
Have a good week!

Happy to be home.
It was so nice to be home this week and back in our routine.
Monday night, we normally go play volleyball at Ron & Carol's, but we were so happy to be home, we just spent the night playing with our legos & Barbies.
Wednesday night, we got back into our Soo Bahk Do routine. I was glad to be back at Soo Bahk Do. I love it! There were just a few kids in the class. We had a new kid, so we reviewed some of our commands, drills and moves. Noah had to take a time out, but when he was ready to join our group again, he did a great job!
Friday, Daddy picked us up early and we drove a long ways until we got to a park. Mommy was there playing volleyball with some people she worked with, so Daddy joined her. I read for a little while, played soccer with Noah and then played in the sand on the other volleyball court. After playing soccer with me, Noah sat on a bench and looked at the bugs on the lake, then he climbed up the ref stand and helped keep score. Right when Mom & Dad were done, it started to RAIN REALLY HARD, thunder, lightning and hail! It was crazy. We got to the truck just in time to stay dry, but it was a really scary ride to the restaurant where we had supper. After supper, though, the rain had stopped and it was a nice night!
Yesterday, Daddy took us to the grocery store in the morning, then we came home and played. After lunch, Mommy & Daddy filled up our swimming pool! It's much bigger than the kiddie pool we've had for the past 4 years. This one is big enough for us to lay down - but too deep for us to lay down! We can splash, swim and use our snorkle & goggles. It was so fun! Noah swam for about an hour, but I swam for much longer.
After supper, we convinced Mommy to take us for a walk. After she got the dog leash and locked the door, we told her we wanted to go for a ride in the wagon! So, she pulled us in the wagon with Cheyenne walking next to us. We wanted to go to the park, but Mommy said we didn't have enough time to go to the park, so we just rode the wagon home. Maybe she'll take us to the park another time.
Today, Daddy went to church and then went to the Twins game. I wanted to go with him, but he said it was going to be too hot outside, and he was going with his guy friends. It was OK that I stayed home - I played with Noah and with my Barbies. Mommy did make us help clean up our room for a while. She took away one of our toy shelves, but said it helped clear some space for our shoes and backpacks. She also kept wanting me to take the play food downstairs to our kitchen - I asked why I had to keep going to the basement. The basement is scary. I am afraid there's monsters down there. Mom said there aren't, but I'm not so sure.
After cleaning, we swam for a little while before supper. (Actually we bounced back and forth from the swings to the pool. It was fun!) It sure was a great day for swimming! It's been so hot all week, I'm glad our pool is up now. We were so hungry at supper, that Noah ate THREE sandwiches, and I had 2 helpings of chips with my sandwich. What a fun but busy day!
Have a good week! Daddy said it's going to be really hot, so I hope everyone can stay cool!

Happy Fourth of July
We're home!
And, happy to be home.
We just returned today from being gone for a whole week. Our daycare was closed, so we spent a whole week in Madison with Grandma & Grandpa S. It was fun, but we were happy to get home tonight.
The week before we left was very exciting. We were really looking forward to going to Grandma's house.
We enjoyed our last week of Little Rookies sports camp. We got to play flag football! It was really fun. The best part was that Daddy picked us up early and brought us to the playground to play before Little Rookies Sports Sampler camp. Of all four sports, tee ball was my most favorite and football was my second favorite. Hannah said her favorite was tennis and her second favorite was tee ball.
Mom & Dad took us to the lake for the weekend to meet Grandma & Grandpa, so we could just go home with them for the week.
It was a fun week, just playing with Grandma's & Grandpa's toys. We love our toys, but it's fun to have new and different toys. It was a really HOT week, so we played inside in the air conditioning a lot and swam in grandma's kiddie pool a lot.
Monday night, we asked Grandpa to take us up and down on the scissor lift, so we got to take a ride on the scissor lift. We also got to go inside the broken camper. A tornado wrecked it 2 weeks ago, and we thought it might be OK if Grandma & Grandpa could just patch up the holes or fix it, but we got to see all the damage that the tornado caused. We're so happy that Grandma & Grandpa were not hurt - only the camper and their garage doors were hurt.
I had a little accident at the store on Tuesday. Grandma told me not to lean back on the shopping cart, but I did anyway and I fell out. I hit my head and got a REALLY big knot on my head! It really hurt, but putting ice on it hurts too. And my face was just starting to heal from falling down and hitting it on the rocks. What bad luck!
On the fourth of July, we got to ride in Grandpa's Mustang and throw out candy in a parade. It sounded pretty fun, but it was SOO hot that day! And before the parade started, we stood around too much just waiting. Hannah had a really great time, though. She LOVED throwing candy and waving to everyone in the parade.
After the parade, we swam in the kiddie pool before getting ready to go back to Madison and watch some fireworks. It was fun, but a really late night for us! We were pooped out after such a long, busy day.
Friday, we drove back to the lake. We were SOO excited to see Mommy & Daddy! We gave them LOTS of big hugs when we saw them.
Saturday, we went to bring Mommy's car to the car dealer where she bought it so they could do some stuff to it. I wanted to just wait for it, but Mom & Dad said we had to leave it and take a different car to shop a little and go back to the cabin. I was reluctant to leave our car, but Mommy promised we'd have it back in the afternoon.
Since we were in town, we went to get our hair cut. Daddy had his cut while we were at Grandma's, but mine was getting long and pretty hot! So, I got my hair cut, and Hannah got a few inches cut off hers, too. And, Mommy had her hair cut REALLY REALLY short! She said that they took her hair and gave it to kids who don't have hair because they're sick - she said they can make a wig out of her hair. After I got my hair cut, Daddy and I walked to Caribou Coffee, had a mango smoothie (Daddy had coffee) and hung out there while we waited for Mommy to finish her hair cut.
When Mommy and Hannah picked us up and took us to the store, I was SO BORED shopping. But we did buy some cool superhero masks for Ben & me, and butterfly masks for Lauren & Hannah. When we looked through them, everything looked like a rainbow! They were pretty cool masks.
After we got back and had dinner, Daddy promised he'd take me fishing. So, we went out on the boat and caught some fish! Nothing big enough to keep, but it was fun to fish with Daddy. The other kids swam and went jetskiing with Angie while I played games and hung out in the house with Daddy when we were done fishing.
After supper, we waited for fireworks! When it got dark, we did some sparklers and watched Angie shoot some fireworks. It was so cool, but the bugs bit me a lot. After fireworks, Grandpa made delicious popcorn! We were so tired that we fell right asleep after that! We normally sleep downstairs, but Mommy said it smelled bad because Grandma was cleaning, so we slept in the bedroom upstairs with Mom & Dad.
We got up and went fishing this morning. We caught a few little fish, but nothing too big. I was really excited to get to swim after dinner, so we got our suits on and ran to the lake right after dinner! Not only did we swim but we got to tube and take jet ski rides with Angie, too. We had so much fun! The ride home was long, especially with all the cars that were in our way and going slow! But, we were really happy to be home when we finally pulled in the driveway. We're looking forward to going back to Sue's house tomorrow.
Have a good week!
