Summer is finally here, and we're finally 5 and a HALF!

Monday, we got to go play at Ron & Carol's again while Mom & Dad played volleyball. Again, we were the only kids there, but we still had a fun time.

Tuesday was our HALF BIRTHDAY! We are very excited to be FIVE AND A HALF now!
We had a special supper (daddy made mostacciolli). After supper, we went to the raspberry bush and checked it out. We picked LOTS of black raspberries and got to eat them. They were so delicious!

We also got to open presents. Mommy & Daddy gave us a few gifts because our birthday is so close to Christmas that they thought it would be nice to open some gifts now instead of all of our gifts in December. We each got a pack of new markers - I got Princess markers and Noah got Cars markers. I got a pretty pink necklace that is shaped like Mickey's head. It's beautiful! Noah got what he's wanted since Decmber - a Finn McMissile car! He got another car with it, but he was happiest about Finn from Cars 2. We also each got a new Tshirt from Walt Disney World. Mine is pink with Mickey Mouse & jewels all over. Noah's is blue with Mickey, Donald & Goofy. We sure love Disney!

Wednesday, we had karate again on our regular night. We had a good night at karate. So good, we even got to have Little Ceasar's Pizza!

Thursday we finally got a break from the rain and could play outside at daycare. It's been a really rainy week. It was a perfect day for tennis at our sports sampler. We had a lot of fun and are pretty good at it. I did a good job at hitting the ball to the coach, and Noah was really getting the hang of hitting the ball to daddy most of the time, too. It's been a really fun class to learn all sorts of different games. I can't wait to find out what we'll do next week for our last class! Maybe it will be volleyball. Noah and I are really good at volleyball. :-)

We also got to eat Mickey Mouse shaped caramel apples that Mommy made. She made some treats for a church bake sale and said she wanted to try making Mickey shaped caramel apples. They were just chocolate covered without decoration, but they were cool! She said we could eat them, and we were excited! I didn't like the chocolate coating, and they were kind of messy to eat. But, Mommy cut mine up for me, so it was easier to eat. I think I'll stick to regular apples next time, but they sure looked cute!

Friday, we played outside a long time before supper. We ate chicken & corn on the cob on the deck for supper, then I got to take a motorcycle ride! I helped Daddy drop off some treats for the church bake sale, then we went to Dairy Queen to meet Noah & Mom. We were looking for Megan, our daycare provider's daughter, but she wasn't working. bummer. I ate half my blizzard while Daddy talked to a guy from volleyball that he hadn't seen in a long time, then I rode home with Mommy while Daddy took Noah home on the motorcycle.

Saturday morning, Mom & Dad wanted to get up and leave for the lake right away, but then they made us clean up our room and play area before we got to leave. That took too long, so we didn't get going very fast. On our way out of town, we stopped at the farmer's market. We walked around for a little while before we saw Callie from Preschool. She was my best friend at school. I loved her! Her mommy & my mommy took each other's numbers so maybe we can set up a playdate with her sometime! Wouldn't that be awesome!?

The lake is a long way away, so mommy & daddy packed some sandwiches to eat on the way there. Mommy gave me my sandwich with a juice box and goldfish crackers. She told me it was peanut butter & jelly, but I didn't see any goober grape jelly on my sandwich. I kept telling her I didn't see any jelly, but she told me it was there. I  almost cried when I told her "It's just a salad with a tomato!" She almost JUMPED out of her seat! She said "Honey, you have my BLT!" She accidentally gave me the wrong sandwich! I was more than willing to switch with her and the next sandwich she gave me was goober grape & Peanut butter. Daddy & Mommy laughed at me, but I didn't think it was funny to give me a salad sandwich. I don't like salad.

When we got to the lake, we got to swim with Ben & Lauren. They were with Angie while everyone else was gone. When Grandpa & Jason got back from town, they put the boat in the water and we all got to tube! Noah went first. He loves to tube. I went with Lauren. It wasn't very fun for me, except for the times when Grandpa went slow. I liked riding in the boat much better. After Noah took another turn, Lauren had fun going by herself so Grandpa could go faster.

After the lake, we decided to build a ring for the fire and set up the campfire. We built a ring of logs, then went to find some big rocks to make a campfire ring. Unfortunately, the rocks we found in the driveway were kind of small. But, Mommy & Angie said they would come down to the lake and help us get big rocks. With the big rocks, the campfire ring looked really nice!

After supper, we got to have a campfire and s'mores! The firewood was a little bit wet, so it wasn't the best fire, but we still got some s'mores and had some fun singing campfire songs. (Grandma was singing some weird song, but we all wanted to sing the "I like to Move it Move it" song from Madagascar!)

After the campfire, we all went to bed downstairs in the bunk beds. All four of us wanted to sleep on the bottom bunk, so Mommy & Angie put the bed from the top bunk on the floor. It worked perfectly! There was room for all 4 of us to sleep!

This morning, we got up and left early so mommy could work on the deck at home. She said it needed to be sealed from water damage. We were really tired, so while she did that, I took a 2 hour nap while Noah rested quietly. What an exhausting weekend!

We're looking forward to next week when we get to spend a week at Grandma & Grandpa's house because daycare will be closed all week. Until then, we'll enjoy playing with our friends at Sue's house!

Have a good week!

Happy Father's Day

We had a fun week!

Monday, we stayed home with Daddy because Sue was closed. We were very good for daddy while he worked and we played quietly and watched a movie.
Mommy came home to sign some papers at lunchtime, so we took her out to lunch at Wendy's. It was so cool to have a family lunch!
After we had some supper, Daddy took us to Ron & Carol's to play while he and mommy played volleyball. It was fun day.

Wednesday, Daddy picked us up early, brought us to McDonald's and we went to the Maple Grove Maze to play. A whole bunch of new kindergarteners from Beacon Academy (our new school next year) were there, so we got to meet some new friends who we will be going to school with. I was playing so hard, I was sweating. It was awesome.

Thursday, we had our sports sampler class. It was SO EXCITED to play tee-ball! I really wanted to play baseball, but daddy and mommy both said tee-ball is close to baseball. I was bummed when it was raining all afternoon, but when we got to the field, there was a note that said we would play in the gym where we had our volleyball class. So, we went to play tee-ball in the gym. We both had fun - we were really good at throwing, batting and running. My favorite part was hitting. Hannah's favorite part was throwing the ball.

Friday night when we got home, Daddy took me to the store to buy a chicken for supper. He also let me pick out a mango. I LOVE mango so much. Daddy cut it up SO cool - it was perfect little cubes, and they were so delicious.

Since our teachers were unable to teach on Wednesday, our Soo Bahk Do class was rescheduled to Saturday morning. We got up Saturday for class, ate some breakfast (Mommy brought us some juice & yogurt, and Daddy made us eggs & toast, so we had a big, nutritious breakfast!). When we got to class, there were just big kids & adults in the gym. Only one other kid from our class came, so it was really strange. Just as we started to do our kicks with the bigger kids, our regular teacher came in with fun stuff! We did some kicks and punches with her, then she brought us some games to help us with our coordination. It was really cool to have just 3 of us there for Ms. Laura to teach!

After we got home, we changed our clothes, then went back out to do stuff around town. We went to the camera store so they could clean one of mom & dad's camera lenses. They had some really cool stuff there, but our favorite was the M&M guys statue that had M&M's in it! The guy said we could have one. After the camera store, we went to the Hitching Post. We wanted to give Daddy a new motorcycle helmet for Father's Day. He tried a few on. (and so did we! My favorite was a red one that looked like it had bullet holes, Hannah's favorite was a purple one with flowers.) Daddy found a cool black one that he loved while we looked at the bikes and "tested" the 4-wheelers in the showroom. We even got balloons! I got a red one and Hannah got a green one. We LOVE balloons!

After that, we ate pizza at Sam's Club before shopping there. I hate shopping and wanted to go home. I was SO bored-and mad at Hannah because she kept touching me!

When we got home, we had some quiet time in our rooms while we read books. We were able to just play with legos, do word searches and hang out the rest of the day. I love being home.

We have been SO EXCITED about today! It's father's Day! We made daddy key holders and decorated them just for him. We were very excited to give them to him. I gave him a volleyball/sports themed key holder, and Hannah decorated hers purple & yellow - Vikings colors! We also made him cards. We have the greatest Daddy! He loved the present we gave him. Mommy gave him a card, too. It had pictures from Disneyworld, so it was fun to look at the pictures on his card.

Dad took us to breakfast when we got up, then we played outside for a while. We spent a pretty fun day just hanging out at home all day. It rained in the afternoon, so it was a perfect day to play with cars, do more word puzzles and for Hannah to play with her princess castle.

Happy Father's Day to our Daddy and Grandpas.

June is here

We've been just as busy in June (or since we got out of school!)

We spent Memorial Day weekend at home with Mom & Dad. Well, sort of. Mom & Dad stayed home so we could get some work done around the house, unpacking from our trips and laundry from our trips. We also got to go to Ron & Carol's backyard a few times - Friday, Sunday & Monday afternoon. Every time, we got to play with kids, so we had a lot of fun.

The weekend after Memorial Day, we went back to Madison because Great Grandma was having a big Birthday celebration for her 85th birthday. We had fun getting to see all our cousins (some we've never even met!) and Grandma was so happy to get pictures with all her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She also had a big party where LOTS AND LOTS of people that my mommy doesn't even know showed up for cake & to wish Great Grandma a Happy Birthday. The day after Great Grandma's party, we went to Ben & Lauren's house for their birthday party. They even had some more kids to play with, so we had some fun playing at their house.

We just got back from the lake today. Daddy was bummed because it wasn't our most fun we've had at the lake. He started to mow the lawn when the lawn mower broke, so he spent a bunch of time trying to fix that. We went swimming in the afternoon, but it was really windy. We tried to fish, but it was so hot & windy that the fish weren't hungry. We did get to hang out at the cabin help Mom paint, do some puzzles and read some books. We were happy to get home, though.

We'll write more later, but wanted to get an update out there about what we've been doing!

Exciting May!

May was such an exciting month for us!
We were pretty bummed when Grandma & Grandpa took Cheyenne the first weekend of May, but the next Tuesday morning, Mom & Dad woke us up early and surprised us by telling us we were going to DisneyWorld!

It was such an awesome trip.

We left Tuesday. We flew to Orlando and took Disney's magical express to our hotel. It was a really cool place. After we settled into our room, we checked out the pool for a while. Then we got dressed and took the bus to the train and then took the train to Chef Mickey's. It was so awesome! We got great food and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & Donald came around to our table to take pictures with us.

Wednesday, we went to the Animal Kingdom. We got to go on an African Safari, an Asian animal tour, we had dinner with Donald (Mickey, Goofy & Daisy were there, too). We met Rafiki, rode a train and saw lots of cool animals.
After we got back to our hotel room, we left again to go to downtown disney. We rode a boat there, and got to see the Lego Store and the big lego dragon outside the lego store.

Thursday, we went to the Magic Kingdom. Noah and Daddy went  on Space Mountain right away. Noah was really scared by it. But, we LOVED Monsters Inc. Laugh floor, Buzz's Space Ranger Spin and lots of other rides. We also got to meet Mickey, Minnie, the Fairy Godmother, a bunch of princesses. We saw the parade, too. It was so fun! We had supper at a beautiful restaurant where Pooh, Tigger, Piglet & Eeyore came to our table and took pictures with us.

Friday we took the day off. We went back to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. We got to go to the Lego Store and the Biggest Disney Store we've ever seen! We also got to ride a golf cart to a play area and have ice cream, too.

Saturday, we went to Hollywood Studios. We got to meet a bunch more characters. Daddy rode the Star wars ride (it was too scary for us). We saw the Muppets, Lightning McQueen, and a bunch more. We got to eat supper at a table that was shaped like a car, and we watched old movies and cartoons while we were eating. It was yummy! Then we went to an animation class and learned to draw Piglet.

Sunday, we got up and went on a Pirate Adventure. It was so fun! We went by ourselves - Mommy & Daddy stayed back at the hotel while we went on our Pirate Adventure. We even found pirate treasure! After the Pirate adventure we rode a bike built for 4 (Mom & Dad pedaled, we rode in the seat in the front) around the resort. We spent the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel - coloring and swimming, then we went out to eat at the restaurant near where the pirate adventure was. It was yummy.

Monday was Daddy's birthday. We went to Epcot. It was so cool! Right away, we rode the ride in the big golf ball. It was really cool. Not scary like Space Mountain. We got to see more characters & get more autographs & photos. We got to see different countries, as well as really cool plants shaped like Disney Characters. Our favorites were the ones shaped like princesses and the one shaped like Lightning & Mater. We had supper with a bunch of princesses at a Norwegian restaurant. They even served Daddy a birthday cupcake with a card signed by all the princesses. We also got to ride through some cool rides that taught us some cool lessons: a greenhouse that grew some pretty cool stuff with very little soil, and an under-the-sea adventure with Nemo. We ended that one by getting to talk to Crush (the turtle from Nemo). He talked to both of us and Daddy! After we talked to Crush, we saw the fireworks before we went back to our hotel room.

Tuesday was our last day at the parks.  We slept in and went back to the Magic Kingdom. We had a few things that we didn't get to see on Thursday, in addition to riding Buzz's Space Ranger Spin and the People Mover again. There's so much to see! Disneyworld is such a cool place. The highlight of Tuesday was supper at Cinderella's Royal Table (though Daddy's favorite part was that we got to meet Merida, the newest Disney Princess on our way to Cinderella's Royal Table. Her movie, Brave, comes out in mid-June.) Cinderella's Royal Table was phenomenal. They treated Noah like a prince, Hannah like a princess and Daddy even got royal treatment because they still considered him the birthday boy! After Cinderella's Royal Table, we got to drive Race Cars, see the magical Lights parade, watch a COOL laser display on the castle and stayed to watch Wishes, the Fireworks show around the castle.

We had so much fun at Disneyworld, we can't wait to go back! But, we were very happy to get home. We flew back home on Wednesday. When we got home, Noah kissed his bed and stayed in bed for 2 hours because he was so happy to be home!

We went back to Sue's and work on Thursday & Friday, then Friday night after we got back from Disney, we went to the lake. It was cold, but Grandma, Grandpa, Angie, Lauren, Ben, Dani & Jason were all there. We got to get Cheyenne and bring her home. We missed her, but she was on vacation at Grandma & Grandpa's while we were on Vacation at DisneyWorld.

After a busy weekend at the lake, we had one more day of school: our last day of school. It was sure a busy month of May! But, it was so awesome.
